Why in Winter?

Winter is the best time of the year to do IPL for the sole reason of sun exposure. After an IPL treatment the skin is more sensitive that what it would normally be, which means it is extra sensitive to the sun. Winter is ideal as there are fewer daylight hours, and the sun is not as strong as it is in summer, meaning your skin is more protected. This does still mean sunscreen is important though. Proper sunscreen use is crucial for the skin to prevent premature ageing from the UV rays. When doing the Skin Rejuvenation treatments, sunscreen must be worn everyday. In our harsh environment, sunscreen is essential all year round due to our thinned ozone layer, this means UV rays are still strong and present even in winter.

What is IPL for?

IPL Skin Rejuvenation for Pigment

(your therapist will chose what is best for you)

At Radiance, we offer IPL Skin Rejuvenation for pigment in the skin. What pigment essentially is, is a damaged cell that affects your melanin production. When the cells become damaged or unhealthy, this shows in more prominent pigment within the skin. This is caused by external factors such as UV rays, as well as internal factors.

When the cell is damaged it creates an umbrella from melanin that appears as what we see as pigment.  What our pigment setting on the IPL machine is doing, is essentially taking away that umbrella.

When the pigment is pulled to the surface by the IPL, it ends up looking like you have been flicked with some Milo! Nothing too intense. Just make sure you don’t pick at it, it will naturally just come off within a couple of weeks. Hydration and protection is key.

From when you walk out of the salon, taking care after your skin post treatment is so important. When we remove that umbrella that is protecting the damaged cell, we need to nourish those cells underneath. Using products that repair cellular damage is key to long lasting results, such as serums, moisturisers and SPF.

On your first session, the IPL will pull the surface pigment out, but also bring the deeper pigment closer to the surface. This is why we recommend multiple sessions and why there are 2 sessions included in the IPL package. We recommend coming in again about 2-3 weeks after your first session for your second. This allows the skin time to heal for your next treatment.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation for Red Veins / Diffused Redness

(your therapist will chose what is best for you)

We also offer IPL Skin Rejuvenation for Red Veins / Diffused Redness. Red Veins are the body’s capillaries at the surface. These are often caused by damage to the surface of the skin by UV rays, our harsh environment, as well as internal factors. They can be both big and small, and are found most commonly around the cheeks and nose. What Red Vein IPL does is perforating the capillary, causing the veins to close and seal off, stopping the blood supply to the area. It then means it has to find a deeper avenue for the blood supply to get through, meaning they are less visible at the surface.

With Red Vein IPL, the setting does also pull any surface pigment, meaning you get the best of both worlds!

Unlimited use of our LED machines for 4 weeks!

LED’s are so beneficial to the skin, and help the healing process dramatically. To explain it simply, the light excites the cells and gets them moving around and working more efficiently, which speeds up their collagen and elastin production.

Our cells absorb light to fuel a range of different processes which help our body to function normally and remain healthy. Our bodies use different wavelengths of light to stimulate each process and responses in our skin. Our Dermalux LED sends both visible and invisible wavelengths deep into the skin layers to give them energy to regenerate up to 200 times faster than if they did not have the direct light therapy. You are left with more youthful and healthier looking skin, who wouldn’t want that?

2 Observ Skin Scan Sessions

We are lucky enough to have one of the Observ Skin Scanners in house. This is a state-of-the-art skin analysis machine that uses very advanced technology to take photos of the skin layers. This identifies any skin conditions, problems, and underlying issues that are not obvious to the naked eye. What we will do is take photos of the skin before starting any treatments or products, and then again in a few months time to see the progress in the skin.

A full explanation of the photos with your skin specialist is included with these.

An Osmosis Ultimate Rejuvenation Facial

This is a luxurious facial that nurtures the skin, combined with a powerful tool to rehabilitate even the most damaged skin. This facial provides enhanced elasticity, texture, tone and clarity. The Ultimate Rejuvenation incorporates our medical grade Dermalux LED machine to rejuvenate and heal the skin, increase cell energy and collagen production. We pair this facial with our Osmosis RevitaPen to enhance the absorption of the products customised to you, by your own skin specialist.

The package costs $1750, which is saving you over $600!
